The candyrice design approach to building websites

We use a production management formula combined with the latest tools and software to help you make a lasting impression on your clients and reach your goals for the site.

We only want completely satisfied clients.
Here's what you can expect at each of our six production stages.

Listen and Define
We begin by listening to your needs and desires, then together we establish the goals for your website, gather information and files, and define timeframes and budgets.

Upon receipt of signed proposal and 50% down payment, we will email you a pdf questionnaire to fill out and mail or email back to us as quickly as possible.

Design
We begin the visual design phase and consider navigation, functionality, and the look and feel of your site. We build a prototype design for you to approve. Once the first mockup layout is completed and sent to you, we ask you to critique it and reply with detailed feedback on what you like and what you want to tweak.

We work back and forth like this until you get the layout you want (most websites require two to four layout revisions before being approved). While we're hammering out the design, we encourage you to work on the website text to insure smooth project flow.

Develop
Once you approve the design, we begin building the web pages. It's important that all tweaks are done before layout approval is made. Once the layout is approved and we begin programming the layout, some subsequent changes to the layout design may incur extra fees (depending on the nature of the changes requested).

We add content and images, and optimize each page for fast download times and compatibility across multiple platforms and browsers. You will be able to view the test website at various times during construction after we send the test website URL to you. One template page will be created first to show a "what you see is what you get" version of the programmed design.

Once you approve this programmed template, the rest of the website architecture is built. It's important to submit copy in its final form to avoid delays in getting the website live. In addition, if copy revisions are substantial (after copy was already received and placed on the test website), you may be billed for the extra work.

Test
Your site has to work in a variety of browsers, so we use many of the web industry's standard practices to thoroughly test your website for quality, usability, accuracy, and functionality.

Once the tests are complete, we ask you to approve the final site. Once all content is in place on the test website, you will need to make a comprehensive review of the website to address any final tweaks. The final balance payment must be received before the website goes live.

Deploy
Once you approve the website, we finalize it and deliver it to your host. Your site is now live. At this point, the website contract is completed and any additional changes or tweaks thereafter would be billed at the hourly rate.

AfterCare
Even when your website is live, the work is not finished. We are available when you need us, and we will work with you to manage your site as time passes and your needs change.

Site management plans are available for monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, or annual updates.
